RAID 5, or Redundant Array of Independent Disks level 5, is a storage technology that combines multiple disk drives into a single unit to improve performance, reliability, and data redundancy. It uses a technique called striping with parity, which means data is distributed across several disks, and one of the disks stores parity information. This parity data can be used to reconstruct data in case one of the disks fails.
