DKIM is an email authentication method that allows the receiver to check that an email was indeed sent and authorized by the owner of that domain. When you send an email, DKIM adds a digital signature to the email header. This signature is created using a private key. The receiving mail server can verify this signature using the corresponding public key, which is published in the sender's DNS records.
